In order to keep the site a little more active, I’m just going to post little nuggets about recent items that I’ve picked up. These have yet to be recorded, etc.
Today’s nab: Rich Little – Scrooge and the Stars
I’ve seen this listed a few places, usually for over $100 (though I think there’s one at MusicStack for $21). Apparently it’s taken from a radio program Little did where he performed A Christmas Carol using some of his many celebrity impersonations. There’s also a video version.
I’m not sure if the audio and video versions are the same, but here’s some of the “cast” of the TV version (via IMDB):
W.C. Fields as Scrooge/Paul Lynde as Bob Cratchit/Humphrey Bogart as the Ghost of Christmas Past/Peter Falk as the Ghost of Christmas Present/Peter Sellers as the Ghost of Christmas Yet-To-Come/Richard Nixon as Jacob Marley/Truman Capote as Tiny Tim/Groucho Marx as Fezziwig/Edith Bunker as Mrs. Cratchit/Johnny Carson as Nephew Fred/Jimmy Stewart as Scrooge’s boss/John Wayne as businessman/George Burns as businessman/Jack Benny as boy outside window
Should be interesting….
